Baby Baskets
Mother's Day Weekend there are 25 baskets delivered to the NEA Women's Center to be presented to the parents of newborns, The nursing staff gives the baskets out over the weekend and continues to do so through the week until all baskets have been distributed.There are also 25 baskets delivered to the Pregnancy Resource Center during this weekend to be given out.
The Ladies Tuesday Morning Connection Group provide blankets and handmade booties and hats. Other items are bought such as comb and brush set, newborn mittens, changing pads, and other small items needed at home for the baby.
Baskets are prepared with wrapping and bow. A card is placed inside the baskets that reads "Compliments of Highland Drive Baptist Church.
Members and regular attenders are also presented with these baskets throughout the year at the birth of a new baby.
