Bridge 365
A bridge can take us places we could not otherwise go. With our new evangelism program, Bridge 365, we plan to cross a bridge in our city. Our evangelism teams have gone around the world and the nation, ministering to chosen groups. We have traveled to Africa, Brazil, Bulgaria, and Mexico. We have traveled to Las Vegas, Miami, New York, and most recently to Wichita, Kansas... However, we have never really chosen a particular area of Jonesboro to focus on. Through Bridge 365, we want to spread the joy and love we find attending Highland Drive Baptist Church to people in our own city. We have chosen an area where several of our young members’ families live, and our goal is to broaden our connections to the residents of the area.
Bridge 365 will help us build a connection in our city by serving this neighborhood from June 2010, until June 2011. We are making a daily commitment to include the residents of this area in our worship, fellowship, and prayers. Over the next 365 days, we will extend special invitations to our church events. Sponsoring a neighborhood block party is another way we plan to reach out to this area of our community.
We hope you will be as excited as we are about this new development in our strategy to reach our own Jerusalem. Planned activities will be announced in advance, and there will be many opportunities for you to help with this new approach to local evangelism. This will be a change in our local evangelism approach. We want all our members to help us build a bridge, 365 days a year.
