The deacon ministry at HDBC is a ministry of serving. At any given time we have seven men who serve in this roll. These men focus on praying for others, serving our widows and widowers, supporting our pastor and staff, and provide leadership to our entire church. On Sunday afternoon, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. we will ordain Heath House to the deacon ministry.
Ordination is an act by the church which formally recognizes a man's call to this ministry and affirms this calling. We are excited that our church has recognized that Heath has the spiritual maturity, giftedness and Christ-like spirit that is needed for this ministry.
